Consulting. Training. Safety.
Get in touchI review your processes along the transport chain and point out where they depart from ADR, the German GGVSEB and hazardous substances law. That covers classifying your goods, choosing approved packaging, marking and labelling, transport documents and written instructions. You get working procedures your staff can actually follow, not a stack of regulations.
I teach ADR basic courses, specialisation courses and refresher training, as well as courses for future dangerous goods safety advisers, among others at the AVT Akademie in Stockstadt am Main. For staff who do not need a training certificate I run on-site instruction under ADR chapter 1.3. The teaching uses cases from your own shipping practice.
You appoint me under the German Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser Regulation (GbV) for road (ADR), rail (RID), sea (IMDG Code) and inland waterway (ADN). I monitor compliance, train your staff, write the required annual report and, if something happens, the accident report under ADR section 1.8.5. For smaller companies this usually costs less and holds up better than keeping someone qualified in house.
Advice on pyrotechnic articles under the German Explosives Act and the 1. SprengV, covering categories F1 to F4, T1 and T2, P1 and P2. Topics are acquisition, storage and storage quantities, transport as class 1 dangerous goods, plus permits under section 7 and competence certificates under section 20 of the Explosives Act. Relevant for retailers, event organisers and any company storing or shipping pyrotechnics.
Family celebration, company party, village fair or town festival: I plan and fire category F4 displays holding the required competence certificate. That includes notifying the responsible authority, coordinating with the public order office and fire brigade, safety distances and cordoning off the site. Tell me the occasion, place and date and you get a quote.

I am Silvio Wilop and I run Gefahrgutbüro Bruchköbel. As an external dangerous goods safety adviser and instructor I support companies in everything involving dangerous goods, hazardous substances, pyrotechnics and waste.
I have worked in dangerous goods for more than 15 years and in pyrotechnics for more than ten. I hold two German master craftsman qualifications, as a road transport manager (Kraftverkehrsmeister) and as a warehouse manager (Lagermeister), plus qualifications as a pyrotechnician and in hazardous substances. My clients come from dangerous goods and logistics, training, pyrotechnics and waste management.
My office is in Bruchköbel in the Main-Kinzig district. Most clients are in Hanau, Frankfurt and the wider Rhine-Main region, and for training and appointments I travel beyond it.

Visit websiteAs soon as your business takes part in transporting dangerous goods, meaning you pack, ship, load, carry or unload them, the German GbV requires you to appoint at least one dangerous goods safety adviser. There are exemptions, for instance for pure consignees or for transports below the thresholds in ADR 1.1.3.6. A short call is usually enough to find out whether you are covered.
The same tasks as an internal one, without a permanent position in the company. I monitor compliance, advise on classification, packaging and documentation, train your staff, write the annual report for management and investigate incidents involving dangerous goods. The appointment is made in writing and shown to the authority on request.
Drivers carrying quantities that require placarding need an ADR training certificate, made up of the basic course plus specialisation courses for tanks, class 1 or class 7 depending on the load. Everyone else involved, in shipping, warehousing, loading and administration, must be instructed under ADR chapter 1.3. That instruction has to be documented and repeated regularly.
Five years. To extend it, attend a refresher course and pass the examination during the final year of validity. The same five-year period applies to dangerous goods safety advisers. Book early, because places get scarce towards the end of the year.
Category F4 fireworks may only be fired by someone holding a competence certificate under section 20 of the German Explosives Act. On top of that comes timely notification of the responsible public order office and agreement on safety distances and cordons on site. I hold the certificate and handle the dealings with the authority.
My office is in Bruchköbel in the Main-Kinzig district. The focus is on Hanau, Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region. For safety adviser appointments and in-house training I travel to other regions too, so just ask.
